Spoiler

Really enjoyed the story. It kinda leaves you uncomfortable and bitter especially on Ray's route that's why i preferred the others more (especially Hal my love) and probably because he is so mighty i guess and the power dynamic is so big. Like he can decide death to all humanity if he wants. But that doesn't mean i consider it bad at all obviously it's more surreal but the good kind lol

Looking forward to your other game which i also checked out months ago ^^

(+1)

OMGG!!! I played this game and ngl I ended up crying. BECAUSE a little shithead that killed me actually had me charmed, and I was so sad when I didn't get to spend ALL OF MY LIFE with him in the house fire. Overall ITS A FUCKING GOOD ASS GAME AND RAY IS SO HOT AND CUTIE PATOOTIE!! I'm shocked it didn't cost anything!! I love games like these! ( I keep playing this game because of this fine babe :))))).

(+2)

I don't want Miles route, i NEED Miles route

(+2)

(my English is poor so it might be a little weird)

To be honest, I didn't expect much at first. I didn't even know it was a yandere game. I thought it wants people to know hero would also be tired after work and we should recognize the other side of him. (though the results seem to be kind of similar)

So when I finished playing the game, I definitely felt very surprised.  I really like ray , but interacting with him do make me feel very heavy, feeling that I have to observe his reaction to decide what I should say.(not a negative comment I like the tension ) I don't think they changed much in the after story, either Binary star or Ray still scares me a bit(good thing I am not MC otherwise I would screw it up)MC has quite a long way to go, especially when you have to cope with someone who can destroy the earth.

The last scene in Ray's route is my favorite, filled with a sense of divinity. The existence of MC helps him keep humanity and create connection with the earth, which makes me feel amazed and touched.

And after game, I feel more about the title: the binary star refers to two sides of Ray, his ability, and the hero MC.  In a sense, they do sacrifice themselves to save the earth, this great cause is grand enough for them to transform from a regular villain into an unknown hero.

(also a little wonder know whether in other routes the earth will be destroyed. Why did Ray stop chasing? Is he disappointed in the MC?)

And I also want to know Ray's age, just a little confused because I think he doesn't look that old, maybe it's just a flirtation)

Thank you for creating such a wonderful game, I've played Favor and look forward to it as well!(Though still want to see more Ray)

(+3)

One of my fav games EVER!!

(+3)

I've been obsessed with this game for DAYS. I don't think I'll ever play a game that I like as much as this one. It's made so amazingly THANK YOU SOSO MUCH. <3

(+1)

Bravo, amazingly done!

(+1)

This game absolutely lives up to the hype in the comments.

(+2)

God I adored this game!! I ate up every bit, played everything in one sitting. This way of storytelling is one of my favorites, I enjoyed slowly learning about the world around us and m/c's past. It's crazy to me how uncanny, and unnerving binary star is to me, while Ray is someone I desperately wanted to reach out to. He was a wonderful complex character, with really great art to display him (All the art was great!).I appreciated the afterstories a lot (Ray and Haley's were my favorite). Thank you so much for your work! side note: Loathe is awesome, great song choice!

(+3)

The passion. The conflict. The characters. I am in love with this game. The fact that Ray is such a two sided character, like I didn't know to trust him or not. The after stories made me levitate out of my chair. This is the only game ever

(+3)

I beg of you to make an android version of this please 🙏

(+1)

I have no idea how to do this, i may look into it eventually tho.

(+2)

this is FANTASTIC

(1 edit) (+3)

AMAZING i am absolutely astonished. the art was beautiful, the characterization of Binary Star HELLO?? amazing. i will be obsessively trying to find every single ending.

(+2)

Loathe mentioned!! downloading as I write this out!

(+1)

I STAYED UP TILL THREE FOR THIS GAME so worth i

(+1)

 love it so much!!!!!!!!
i want more =T-T=

(+3)

Hello dear developer, I really liked the game kapets, I feel sorry for Ray or the Binary star, despite his not very good deeds, I fell in love with this guy damn much! >:3❤️ I hope you will return to the development of this game in the future, and I was interested in the "Binary Star Hero" only one ending? Judging by the seven more unblocked ones, there are other endings, are they available at the moment of passage?

(+1)

there are more endings! theres a walkthrough image, you need to max out the “love” stat with the character you want the ending with

How do you know the stat progress? I've found 2 endings of Ray's route, are there any more?

(+1)

(THIS IS SO LATE SORRY) unfortunately there isnt any way to see the stat progress, its only a couple of dialogue choices though

(+3)

I seriously enjoyed the concept of this game. The "just some regular guy" yandere isn't so enjoyable imo, so your characterization of Ray/Binary Star was so fun and interesting to experience. And those CGs?? GORGEOUS. This is one of those games that has me thinking about it even after playing it. So I will continue to think about this game while listening to the Binary Star playlist on Spotify (god it's such a good playlist lol)

(+5)

it is so. fucking. good.

i'm sad to admit i overlooked the game the first few times i've seen it 'cuz like. superheros? come on. the genre is full of potential but it is so very rare to really see any of this potential realized. when i finally played it, i couldn't do anything but play it again. a few times. the bsh game is very well written, with beautiful art and excellent characters. even now, more than two months after playing it, i'm in love with it - in love with ray, with all the characters, really - and i think of it very fondly.

thank you for letting us experience this. it's incredible

While I still have to get the After Stories... now that I have all of the endings, I really wanted to say that this was an incredible VN experience. Something about Binary Star Hero really clicked with me.

[There will be some !!!spoilers!!! in the comment. Y'all have been warned]

.

.

.

The entire story was brilliant. I loved the idea of playing an ex-villain who just can't escape from their past in one way or another. Not to mention, having a yandere superhero was a whole lot of fun!

I went into this not being quite sure if Binary Star/Ray was a yandere until we looked through his stuff.
It was such a "oh!" moment, and I loved how subtle he was at first. But when I went through to get everyone's relationship points after getting the first set of bad endings, it was like seeing the story through a whole different lens.
I noticed so many things I hadn't before (and I love that I had to play it more than once to really grasp the entire feeling of the story. It was amazing. Getting all of the endings was a phenomenal experience!)

The characters were also just so well written. Each of them was really fun to interact with, and getting to know all of them was such an intimate experience.
I literally have fallen in love with Haley and Ray for such different reasons, and I adore how awful Double is. (I guess to be fair, I adore how awful Ray is too, but he also just feels so tragic.)
(As an aside: Haley's ending and the Ray ending were my favorites! And I cried so much during the bad Ray ending and the Quasar ending ;-;)

The aesthetic of BSH was also really on point. I loved the use of screen toning to give it a comic book feel, and the art itself was so gorgeous! I was in awe of how every CG looked. I can't even describe just how much of a treat this was visually.

Plus the music! Zack did such a great job with the soundtrack. Every piece fit the scenes perfectly. The scenes where things were unsettling or scary especially got to me with the use of music. It was wonderful.

I really loved BSH and honestly ;-; I wish there was more even beyond the After Stories. (I am possibly a little obsessed with this VN now...)

Thank you for working so hard on this VN.
I hope you're doing well.

(+2)

WOW! Thankyou so much for this detailed and thoughtful review! I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much and I'm honored to recieve this much positive sentiment 💕

(+3)

THIS GAME IS SO GOOD HOLY SHIT

(+2)

this game is so good

(+2)

I have all the achievements completed except for the "complete all of binary star hero" ending. With low affection points, I went for the window and door with no interruptions from the other love interests. I'm not sure what I'm missing.

(+3)(-1)

To get this achievement you must play all of the bad endings and the side stories as well :)

(+1)

ohh I see, thank you. I just had to do the side endings. Also AMAZING art! The story is great too

(+1)

Such a gorgeous, gorgeous story!!!

(+1)

Hello, dear author.

I want to thank you for the wonderful story.

The art, music and characters are marvelous. If I could give you 10 stars, I would.

Maybe you would consider releasing the game on Steam?

Also, If I may, I want to point out some game mechanics that leave me kinda frustrated. It’s about choices. So, some of them give +points in relationships, but several of them are too vague that a new reader must be Nostradamus to pinpoint them.

!!!SPOILERS!!!

.

.

.

.

.

Examples:

Ray +10

“Invite him in”

“(be honest) I find them kinda...uncomfortable”

“Here’s some coffee before you go”

These choices are neat and clear because you care about the character and want to be honest with him.

But

“What about him?” and “...really?” (+10)

I can’t really say what the difference is. Why the one gives you points and the other is not.

I wish authors stopped that practice “guess what the right choice is here, buddy!”

(+2)

Hello! Thank you for enjoying my game :)
Releasing on Steam in the future is something I would like to do but I do not have any direct plans for, as I am dedicating all of my free time to developing 'Favor' currently.

____________

Regarding the choice you mentioned below, here is my logic:

"What about him?" - is a direct question, indicating curiosity, interest, and willingness to learn what is likely a 'bad side' of Binary star.

"...really?" indicates a pause before the question, with my intention being that the player is either doubting what is being said, not wanting to believe it, or possibly just dismayed towards what is being said.

To me, this pause indicates the player character having more attachment to Ray rather than the former "What about him?" which is seeking out specifics without any pause or doubt.

I understand this was a little vague and my intentions may not have shown through, but I don't personally always like to make choices straightforward. To me, I feel that the best choice-based vns force the player to take into consideration their situation, the LI's personality, and the tone of what is being said.
Granted, I am not a pro at this as a dev yet, but I would like to continue to improve :)

Bro Im missing three achievements, are you kidding me 😭😭 (help..)

(+1)

nvm :3

Will there be translation into other languages?

(+1)

A translation into other languages is not currently planned, but if there is a demand for any specific languages I may look into the price of translation :)

(+7)

every part  of this game was amazing i was giggling and kicking my feet n shit LMFAO

(+2)

I LOVE RAY WHSTSHHZ

(+1)

THIS IS AMAZING

(+1)

This was a absolute joy to play and read through! i loved it :3

(+4)

It's... a gorgeous story. So beautifully done.  It was so easy to start reading, so easy to like and enjoy spending time with Haley, and so easy to fall for Ray since that first meeting in cafe. Some parts of the story made me smile and giggle so much, some parts - to have shivers (mostly from first interactions with Double).  And the end... made me feel sad and bittersweet (or empty?) because i did not want for it to end.
I love the art, i love the characters, and i'm in love with this visual novel which took my attention for few hours and gave me...so many emotions. It felt like a whole new world opened in front of me and then was closed in the end when i got all endings and then replayed again for Ray only. Just... thank you very much. Such talent and imagination. I will cherish this vn for  as long as i breathe, because honestly? How can i just meet Ray and then forget about him? Nope. I'll be replaying it over and over and over again every time i'll miss him. So thank you very much again and i wish you the best!

(+2)

Great, awesome, amazing, yes.

(+1)

I really enjoyed this, I do wish it was longer because everything just seemed so fitting. The art, characters, personalities, choices, all of them seemed to just click together. Like the other comments I have seen, I am biased towards Ray. It can be a terrible thing to feel the way he does at any point in your life and I am sure many of us have had that low point. However, I do feel like because of the length of this particular vn, it was harder for me to kind of immerse myself into the experience. Spoilers incoming!

It was hard to see Ray "falling at first sight" for our self insert MCs. The story does say he has been following us for (3 years) but we only see him and the other characters for so long. It didn't really feel like I had much time to get to know him. I find it hard to care for him and his character, but I do care for him more than the others because he had so much more screentime. I would love to see if in the future a sequel to this one with all three characters making a return. It would be really exciting to see how each after story would branch off into another game. (ex. Double coming after MC while staying with Ray or vice versa) Although if I am being honest about one of his endings I was extremely confused on the ending that is supposed to give a message about a "greater purpose." I'm not exactly sure what he did other than possibly absorbing MC like the others that came before, the dialogue kind of lost me although I did understand the terms and what not. Regardless, I could type pages and pages of my thoughts but overall I loved this, and I'm sad to see it end so soon! I can't help but be a bit greedy and want more from this. Especially because how everything felt so real in this hypothetical setting. I don't know about the others but I really look for and almost crave in some cases realism or

Verisimilitude.

Thank you for the experience that I had playing! Hope that this isn't the last of it! I look forward to more.

(+3)

It has been a long I have butterflies in my stomach while playing dating sim.  This is by far my favorite yandere VN. Now I really want a depth explanation about how do you make these characters attractive like holy sh*t

(+1)

i unlocked all the endings and did all the after stories so i would unlock the 'secret ' ending. And boy I was shocked, i started to twirl my hair and giggle. AMAZING!!!!!!

(2 edits) (+3)

ray is such a wonderfully written character. he feels so endearingly human and i was pleasantly surprised by the themes and topics explored in this game as well as the writer's careful handling of them. also, the cgs are so so pretty! i'll definitely replay this. thanks for creating this game and such heartbreaking and loveable characters 💖
